CBD lotion has been proven in formal studies to reduce the risk of skin damage from UV exposure. In a study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, researchers tested the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of CBD to see if it could mitigate the problems caused by UV exposure. They applied lotions containing CBD to people of different ages and obtained data through biopsies every 24 hours. The results showed that those who received lotions containing CBD had better results than those who did not, and while more research is still needed, this is the first study to demonstrate the efficacy of topical CBD, which is significant.
